Understanding Sustainability

Many view sustainability as essential to the continuation of human life on earth. In the broadest sense sustainability refers to the integration of environmental, economic, and social initiative. This includes global stewardship and resource management. Four independent sessions have been designes to further explore current thought and dimensions of sustainability: Corporate Social Responsibility, Global Marketplace Food Safety and Food Sustainability, Cities of Sustainability, and Freshwater.

Schools for the Future, Making Connections Today Symposium

The Schools of the Future, Making Connections Today Symposium will be a fast-paced, powerful, idea sharing day to plant seeds for now and well into the future. This symposium is an effort of the U.S. Green Building Council Chapters of West Michigan and Detroit Regional. We anticipate hearing at least from 15 presenters between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Presentations will be 15 minutes or less.
