Five years ago, Grand Rapids launched the Community Sustainability Partnership (CSP) with the goal of creating and adopting economic, environmental, and social systems that are in balance to sustain a positive quality of life for future generations. On October 18, 2001, the leadership team provided an update on the CSP’s work to date and asked for help in crafting a vision for the future. The event included a keynote address from the current chair of the CSP, Mayor George Heartwell, and interactive roundtable discussions.
Leaders of other Community Sustainability Partnerships throughout Michigan joined together on July 23rd, 2009 to share successful strategies, learn from various case studies and discuss the established framework that has made these partnerships the cornerstone of your community.
